Things that plug in, in a modern office

Back in the 1980s, I had a manual typewriter and a calculator in my office.

Now, under my desk, I count 17 things plugged into the power, most of them 'always on'. Lots of other things have cables (USB, Ethernet, Mouse, camera, Skype phone) so they can talk to each other.

Computer
Monitor
Laser printer
Colour printer
Speakers
Sound to FM broadcast (to hear Irish music in the kitchen)
External Hard drive to USB adapter
UPS, powering ADSL modem, wireless router, VOIP phone.
Laptop power supply
Nikon recharger
NiMh AA battery recharger
Printing calculator
Desk lamp
Cellphone charger

It's a rat's nest of cables down there.

The Moth on the Toilet Wall

Sometimes, when you have a moment of peace, you see a moth on the wall and think 'that might make an interesting picture...'. Here's my best shot with the Nikon D70.

Here's one of David's shots with the D300....

Nice moth! Nice camera!
