VCC Chelsea Hillclimb 2009

Without a car this year I had to resort to being a photographer. David took some pictures as well.

This Buckler was very similar to my Orchid Special, and going well.

Roy King from Taranaki in his pint-sized Austin 7 and Alan Blundell in his Jaguar SS100 Special.

Steve Sharp in his Buckler and Roger Herrick in the A40 Special.

Ron Roycroft's Bugatti is back on the road.

And a few of the others running today.

Martin Greentree's funeral

Martin Greentree died this week aged 51, the service was held in his LDS Church, Pah Rd, Royal Oak. He left Mala and 4 children, all grown up. The school that he taught at gave him a guard of honour. Martin was a very nice person with a keen interest in genealogy.

Birds taken on our trip and a couple of other things

Here's a video of a windmill at Kinderdyke, working away pumping water.

Here's a wee recording taken at Edinburgh airport, whilst awaiting our flight. His Scottish was very easy to understand!

There were not many chances to take bird photos, but here are the notable ones:

The robin at Loch Lomond.

The heron at Enkhuizen.

Birds at Portballintrae.

The geese that bit me at Kinderdyke.

Seagulls at Brixham & Dartmouth.

Well, not really a bird, but it does fly.

These starlings in Amsterdam were behaving like pigeons.
