Birds in the Botanical Gardens

Work's a bit quiet and I'd better get used to this D70.

On my way to the gardens I saw a Sundog.

Plenty of ordinary ducks.

I thought this was Mother's favourite Paradise Duck, but it is Mother's favourite other duck. I have not been able to identify it, despite much Googling.

Even he needs to scratch his ear sometimes.

Chaffinches are fairly tame, my pictures of Goldfinches were mainly shots of grass (where they had been).

Hard to get close to a Plover, they have a big no-humans bubble.

Pukekos are a bit easier.
