Ducks identified




I sent these two pictures to www.rarebreeds.co.nz and the webmaster, Michael Trotter advised:


The first is a Muscovy duck and the second (a drake) looks like a cross between a Cayuga and a Mallard. I am particularly interested in the latter as we have them down here (we call them Tuahiwi Tuxedos because the females are black with white fronts).


I don’t have any immediate use for the photos but will add them to my collection, where if not used on the Rare Breeds Website may well feature in a quarterly magazine I produce, the Rare Breeds NewZ.
