Mystery Creek Field-Days

I took Brenda and Raewyn to the Waikato Field Days show, I had never been before and wore my gumboots so as to merge into the crowd.

It is very ..... big! (18mm wide-angle). A lot of tractors, equipment, farm machinery and stuff. A lot of stuff, in fact. Look at that 4WD on the bank at the right!

Some shopping, with products on hay bales. Some yarn spinning.

Some live animals, big and small.

This kid was very cute and kissable, yes, she really did kiss it!

The younger farmers fit hot V8's to their tractors, use Av-gas or Nitrous fuel and have drags towing a 3-4 ton sled.

Others have a competition to see how fast they can tow 14 tons over a measured course.

All in all entertaining, there was gumboot dancing at mid-day but we were having lunch.
