Hey Doug,
interesting blog. Noticed this on the family tree, and I've been reading Kelly Tarltons book. He dives on the wreck of the General Grant using a vessel skippered by Commander John Grattan. I wonder if he is linked to your family too?

Hi Dale,
I understand that he is related, the details I have is he was born 1934, married Marjorie Gracie Leadbeater. His parents were Col Henry Grattan CBE born 1903, and Vera Kathleen Isabel Schofield.
That family also goes back our common ancestor Arthur Grattan 1759-1801 who married Rosanna Didby Odlum d.1802.
