Ardmore Warbirds Airshow Dec 09
The Warbirds held their open day at Ardmore today, 6th December. It was a little less relaxed than last time ("stand back while we start the engine") as the public were invited this time, but at $5 each it was all good fun.
If you were adrift in your liferaft in shark-infested seas, the Catalina would have been a welcome sight.
Checkers were flying in close formation.
Warbirds Dakota took time out from its scenic flights.
The Harvards put on their usual fine show.
Emirates A380 flew past on approach to Auckland, about 15 miles away.
The Trojan in carrier landing mode and the Thunder Mustang, a modern version of the wartime P51 Mustang.
A fine slow-aerobatic display by the Tiger Moth.
