Historic 4-wheel-drive day
Out today with 8 other Land Rovers to an historic vehicles event hosted by the Manukau 4WD Club. It consisted of a series of trials, followed by lunch and a tour of the 400 acre farm near Ramarama.
This old Series 1 1953 Land Rover was the points winner on the day, helped a little by the vehicle age adjustment, but he still drove better than I did.
Here are a few of the other Land Rovers in action.
This Nissan was the only one in the roll-bar & helmet class, and he had some harder sections. He was also very useful for rescuing this lady in distress!

The farm tour ended up on top of a hill at with views to Bombay and Manukau Harbour.
